Pastor Seth Shipman is a native of the south, having been born in Texas and raised in the capital of Arkansas.He has a wonderful heritage.He is a third generation preacher with three brothers that also serve as pastors in Kansas and Texas.His father serves as pastor of Liberty Baptist Church in Abilene, TX.Pastor Shipman is a 2004 graduate of Heartland Baptist Bible College located in Oklahoma City, OK. After serving as a youth pastor & Assistant Pastor he was called to Eastern Hills Baptist Church as our Senior Pastor.
Our pastor’s wife, Sarah, was born and raised in Tacoma, WA.She was raised by a godly mother who was saved in Germany and later influenced by a godly missionary there. When Mrs. Shipman's father was in the US Military and her family was transferred to Tacoma Washington. Her father is unsaved, but her, her mother, and her brother became members at Bethel Baptist Church in Spanaway, WA.
Pastor & Mrs. Shipman were married in November of 2005.January of 2010 marked Pastor & Mrs. Shipman’s third year in ministry at Eastern Hills. Mrs. SHipman is a 2005 Bible College Graduate.
